To R. Land, a prominent local artist who i’ve never seen himself, but I always see his art.

I like your art.
Do you like it?
Would you paint my car? I’d like a demon’s face on the hood, and a demon’s ass on the trunk.
How long have you been painting? Do you paint your conversation with colorful language? Do you paint the way you move with dancing?
On second thought, I wouldn’t want my car painted. I don’t think i’ll have it for very long, and it’d be a shame to waste good art.
Unless you think art is a waste of time already.
I don’t think that.
Where do you get your Ideas? From dreams? No, that’s too obvious. Same with drugs. Or maybe you draw inspiration from both. I can’t say, i’m a terrible painter.
The backgrounds of these paintings are very interesting. I wonder how you approach the first layer of paint. The figures in the foreground are so bold, so defined, its hard to see past them. I have to really focus. Hey, I suppose that’s the point!
We should have coffee sometime and chat. I don’t know if you’re very social, or if you have too many friends already. Maybe there’s a generation gap between us, making topics we can both relate to in conversation hard to find. Maybe you’d rather have coffee with a hot chick, which I am not.
I could look all this up online, but I like this air of mystery that we’re surrounded in right now.
I don’t normally have decaf, but it’s pretty late right now, and i’m resolving to wake up early tomorrow. Wish me luck!Be Cordially Peaceful
